Our airport team are doing everything possible to make your journey relaxed, comfortable and hopefully even fun!

We know travelling with a family can be stressful. Whether you’re travelling with a baby, or older children, we want to help make your family’s experience at our airport a memorable one.

Whatever your needs we’re here to help – lunch options for the kids, somewhere to heat up baby formula, need a luggage trolley, or find a car park close to the terminal, just ask one of our friendly uniformed airport staff members or Ambassadors (dressed in teal uniforms) at the airport!

Here are some tips to help reduce stress levels on your next family trip:

Our website is packed with information on what to do when you’re departing or arriving at Newcastle Airport, like car parkingcar rentals, check-in & security, airport facilities and more. Check out our terminal facilitiesairport maps and where to eat, drink, shop.

Whether you’re being dropped off, have decided to park at the airport or are picking up a rental car, you’ll be more relaxed if you know where you’re going in advance. Learn more about our car parking and car rental options.

Before you leave home check if there are any traffic disruptions that could impact your schedule and check with your airline that your flight is on time.

Remember to bring along items to entertain your children. If you forget, don’t worry, our friendly Ambassadors have colouring in books and pencils to give away! Alternatively, you can visit our retail outlets in the terminal for somewhere to eat, drink, shop.

Review our check list and tips on what you need to know before domestic travel or international travel, including how to fast track check-in, our security screening process, airline baggage limits and how to travel with oversized luggage (like a car seat or pram).

Our uniformed airport staff, Ambassadors and partners are here to help you and your family enjoy your journey. If you have any queries about travelling through our airport with a family, please contact us.
