Qantas will launch direct flights from Newcastle Airport to Perth starting 8 September 2025, operating three times per week.

Qantas will be flying the direct route, offering a full-service experience including checked baggage, in-flight meals and entertainment.

The direct flight from Newcastle to Perth takes approximately 5 hours, getting you across the country without the stopover.

Qantas will operate three flights per week starting 8 September, flying Friday, Sunday and Monday.

Perth shines year-round but is especially stunning in spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May), with sunny days, mild temps and fewer crowds.

Perth is three hours behind Newcastle during daylight saving time (October to April) and two hours behind outside of daylight saving.
