Chief Executive Officer

Dr Peter Cock

Peter is an experienced senior executive with a record of driving change to deliver results. Having held leadership roles across aviation, transport, infrastructure development and professional services, he has a proven ability to build bridges and engage with stakeholders at all levels. His vision for our airport to reach its full potential will deliver long-term benefits for our entire catchment across the Hunter, Central Coast and Northern NSW regions.​ Peter is also a NSW Mentally Healthy Workplace Ambassador

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew McIntyre

Andrew is a passionate local leader with extensive experience in property development and capital program management, he will be leading Newcastle Airport through an exciting growth period, as we expand our terminal to enable international connectivity.

Burcak Sezer

Burcak is an accomplished Executive with extensive experience in large global organisations and will lead the development of strategies that support our passenger growth targets. Burcak is looking forward to achieving our longer term strategic goals, with our Executive team will benefiting greatly from her specialised marketing expertise and strong alignment with our values.

Shane de Wit

Shane has a wealth of aviation expertise having previously held senior roles at Darwin, Perth and Melbourne airports. In his most recent role at Darwin Airport, Shane's commercial acumen and innovative approach saw him play a key role in precinct planning and the redevelopment of the terminal. Shane's breadth of knowledge and experience in the delivery of strategic initiatives, achieving revenue growth, and driving exceptional customer experience adds enormous value to the operations and aviation commercial teams at Newcastle Airport.

Tracey Groves

Tracey has worked across a diverse range of retail sectors, including senior positions with various property groups and a number of multinational fuel companies. Tracey has also undertaken major retail development and business transformation projects during her career with ability to leverage this background to bring Astra Aerolab to the forefront and allow it to unleash its full potential.

Ben Kochanski

Ben’s career spans more than 20 years working throughout Australia in senior construction and project management roles. With a strategic mindset, he is passionate about future-focused construction management. His strong people management capabilities, and his commitment to quality infrastructure planning will ensure we remain an industry benchmark.

Andrew Warrender IAP

Andrew is an award-winning airport leader with a proven track record delivering commercial results for multiple airports across the globe. Andrew's innovative thinking and drive for results will ensure Newcastle Airport delivers on passenger numbers in FY2023 and well into the future. Andrew will also lead the complementary development of freight capability, a critically important component of the airport's strategy.
